Protect the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument

The San Gabriel Mountains are LA’s mountains – they provide Angelenos with water, great recreation and more. Protected as a national monument in 2014, President Trump recently directed Interior Secretary Zinke to “review all national monuments created since 1996 and larger than 100,000 acres,” and that includes our San Gabriel National Monument.

We encourage you to write Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke to protect our local national monument. In the face of climate change, we need the San Gabriel Mountains for water, for cool breezes, for the trees and the chaparral that capture and hold carbon.

Protect the San Gabriel Mountains from being de-listed as a national monument. We’ve started some language, but feel free to use add additional comments in own words on what the San Gabriel Mountains mean to you.
